SOLD A very attractive 16 bore hammergun in excellent condition. The nitro re-proofed barrels are 28" with 2 1/2" chambers and excellent bores, choked about true cylinder and skeet. The barrels have wonderful Damascus pattern. The rib is engraved: SHANNON. MANCHESTER. The lock-plates have very good border and acanthus scroll engraving. The gun has carved percussion fences, and locks up tight as new with its Jones-patent under-lever. The rebounding locks are strong and function as they should. The fore-end has a cross-pin release. The lightly figured stock is in excellent condition with crisp checkering. It measures 1 5/8" x 2 3/8" x 14 1/2" including a traditional red pad. The cast is neutral. The weight is 7 lbs 1 oz. A fun double to carry afield after Montana partridge. Should be a dandy quail, grouse or woodcock gun as well.
