Description:
This is a Winchester model 04 that has undergone a professional restoration. The script, proof marks, and screw heads are all in great shape. The walnut stock is free of cracks and blems, as well as a full fit to the butt plate, which means that it was not sanded much at all. These were a take down boys rifle that saw some included in the Winchester Junior Rifle Corps shooting kits of the 20's and 30's. Interesting design to the trigger guard, which is lengthened back to give the feel of a lever action. The bore is in quite nice shape, with very good rifling throughoutthe 21" length.
