This stunner Presents in UN Used Condition 41 1/2'' overall length, 35 1/2'' curved single-edged blade with wide stopped and narrow partial unstopped fullers and a trailing point. The ricasso is crisply marked ''N.P. Ames / Cabotville / 1846'' on the reverse face and ''US / JH'' on the obverse. The blade exhibits a near-perfect mirror finish, appearing factory mint at a glance. The tiniest handling marks are revealed under close inspection. No real hints of expected scabbard wear; this blade is in positively stunning condition, without a doubt the best example this writer has seen in over 50 years. The brass has a beautiful pale burnished goldenrod patina. The grip is in mint condition with no discernible blemishes. The included steel scabbard is bright and unblemished, also exhibiting a pristine beautiful satin sheen. Truly an incredible example, this sword is superb and will be the center of almost any edged weapon collection.
