Description:
Browning FN MK1 9MM caliber, 4.5" barrel, S/N 7T2567, parkerized finished, regular grip and rear sight. Checkered black grips. Retaining most of the original finish with wear to the high edges. Bore is excellent, and mechanically excellent.
British proof mark on right of reciever behind trigger. Military Signal Corps Insignia crossed flags on Bolt. Bolt. slide and reciever all match numbers.
The Inglis FN High Power came about after the Nazi Third Reich captured the Fabrique Nationale (FN) factory in Belgium. Inglis, Canada, began to fill demand for police and military arms for many nations.
This is a nice, British military marked pistol that has matching numbers on the frame, slide, and barrel. The metal retains most of the original dark gray phosphate finish that has silvered at the muzzle, along the gripstraps (as well as along the raised edges and projections. The checkered black resin grips are in fine shape having only minor flattening of the points and just a few very small handling marks and blemishes along the edges of both panels. Probable arms room number 497 on front grip strap. The pistol comes with a single newer magazine.
