Overall length is 44½". The 29½" octagon 15mm smoothbore barrel has a fine bore. The barrel is fastened with three wedges. Barrel has approximately 95% original blue finish which is turning blue/brown in areas. The lock, hammer, and butt plate have visible colors. The lock, hammer, breech plug, and tang are nicely engraved. Stock is fine with a nicely checkered wrist. There is a sling swivel on the middle thimble and a sling button on the bottom of the butt stock. The iron-reinforced wood trigger guard is fine. Barrel is stamped “K. Hollitzer" in wien over a gold background. Kreian Hollitzer worked in Vienna from the 1790’s on. The lock is stamped “Ainsiol. In. wen". The action functions correctly.
