Description:
SOLD!!. This is Winchester's first attempt at building a take-down semi-automatic shotgun. This Johnson design loads by grasping the knerled area of the barrel, and pulling back to open the bolt. The model 1911 was manufactured from 1911-1928, with this particular shotgun built in 1913. This gun has had the buttstock professionally repaired, and refinished to a smooth finish, with the original butt plate intact. The metal surfaces are in excellent original condition, with 80+% original factory blue remaining. The barrel is a 28" FULL choke, with an exc. bore and crisp script. This model incorporates a T/D thumb screw, (common with the Johnson design) as used on the model 1903, 05, 07, 10, and 63 Winchaster rifles. The gun takes down, and reassembles easily, as designed. Quite uncommon in this condition, and would make a great addition to your Johnson self-loader collection.
