Antique Colt Model 1878 Frontier D.A. Revolver .44-40 WCF with a 4 3/4" barrel. Manufactured in 1891. All matching number gun. Large trigger guard. Action functions fine only in D.A. Single action will function but does not hold the hammer when cocked. Over 50% original blue finish still present. Two line Colt address on top of barrel and COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER stamped on the left side of barrel. Caliber of 44 stamped on trigger guard. Serial number 28622 on butt with 622 stamped on cylinder face. Loading gate latch screw replaced. Front sight slightly filed on the right side. Left grip has a chip missing next to the grip strap. Grips still fit well overall. Overall condition of this gun would be classified as good to very good. Nice old Colt survivor. $35.00 insured shipping.
