This S & W M-36 Chiefs Special , 5 - Shot 38 Cal was mfg abt 1957-9 (Early) J - Frame w/rounded flawless Grips,, smooth backstrap, round trigger guard, w/2 Screws Visible, 1/10 inch serrated ramp front sight w/square notch rear sight, .240" service hammer,w/240" serrated triigger. It is very Pristine w/no edgewear and only a very slight drag line. It appears almost non fired w/no traces of powder residue and comes w/a corect S& W
original type box and S & W label (See Pics). It is one of the finest S 7 W M-36's that I've ever seen. The overal finish is a high luster - about 99%
bluing w/the distinctive "S & W hard Wood Grips and the Iconic - S & W Badge" as mint.
This is to me a collector grade choice. I would rate this as an "NRA Very Good to Excellent".
