Description:
Gun is sold pending receipt of funds. I have for sale a lovely little Arrieta Model 557 in 20 gauge that might just be the perfect upland gun for Grouse, Woodcock, or Quail. If I was ordering a gun for just these birds this has everything I would order. First of all it has 27 inch barrels which to my way of thinking is the perfect length for hunting in tight cover. Not so short as to be whippy and not so long as to cause problems in the brush encountered in Grouse and Woodcock hunting. Next it has perfect chokes for these birds at cylinder and light improved cylinder. Both bores measure .617 and the right barrel has just .003 inches of constriction with the left barrel having .006 inches of constriction. It has a straight, English stock of very nicely grained walnut with dimensions of 1 1/2 X 2 3/8 X 14 3/4 over the checkered butt. Stock is cast off for the right hand shooter. The forend is a splinter with an Anson push buttom release. Gun has all the bells and whistles with double triggers, front articulated, bushed firing pins, cocking indicators, and hand detachable sidelocks. Weight of the gun is also perfect for the uplands at 5 pounds 15 ounces making it a joy to carry and perfect balance between the hands. Condition of the gun is very near perfect with only a couple of the very lightest of impressions so small to show up in photos. Bluing and case coloring is also near perfect. the gun also comes with a very nice luggage case with snap caps as shown in the attached photos. This gun as you can see by the photo of the breech face has been fired very little in it's life. Price of this Arrieta is $4600 plus $50 shipping to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with buyer paying shipping charges if returned.
