Description:
Serial #15238, .41 RF, 2 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This handsome little pistol was made ca. 1885, and retains nearly all of the original nickel finish on the frame, while the barrel retains traces of nickel on protected areas and slightly mottled gray metal on the balance. The hammer retains nearly all of the original color case-hardening, and the screws and spur trigger retain almost all of their brilliant original fire blue. The rosewood grips are both numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in fine shape with only minor handling marks and small blemishes. The lock-up is tight and the action is crisp and fully functional. This is a fine-near excellent example of a desirable Colt deringer. Antique
