Description:
Serial #C310175, .38 Special, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver was made ca, 1950, and has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, ejector, and grips. The metal retains 97-98% of the original nickel finish, with some specks of freckling on the rear of the frame, as well as a few minor surface scratches scattered throughout. The hammer and trigger have a commensurate amount of original color case-hardening remaining, and the S&W diamond-center grips are in fine shape with a few impact marks at the butt, as well as some mild flattening of the points. The lock-up is tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is an excellent example of a late production, named hand-ejector. FFL or C&R
