Description:
This is a good example of a long, socket, British Martini-Henry bayonet dated 12/87. It measures 25 1/8 inches overall with a 21 ¾ inch tri-corner blade that is mostly a mottled plum brown with scattered areas of light pitting with proper British proofs and broad arrow markings. The blued socket retains some of the blued finish with patches of freckling and pitting. The leather and brass scabbard is present marked Broad Arrow over “S" and is in excellent condition. Also present is a white leather frog, Broad Arrow marked that is in very good condition with some light staining and partial tear on the back side of the belt loop. A great overall example that will display well with your rifle.
