RIFLE, 45-70, SN 87XX, 26” bbl., matted rib marked “K&K Hof Gewehr Kammer”, blas. marked “Joseph Springer, Erbein Wein, K&K Kammer in Gewehr, Lieferanten”, fully engraved frame & back action locks, locks are marked “Joseph Springer Erbein & Wien” as is frame, very tight scroll engraving on locks, frame, trigger guard & so forth, both bbls. have SST, top tang bbl. release with two under locking lugs, hammer safeties, folding 2 position rear sight, checkered PG stock with horn PG cap, engraved steel shotgun butt with trapdoor, lever forend release, exc. checkered wood throughout with nice figure in stock & cheek rest, sling swivels, exc. bores, 95% bbl. blue, casehardening on frame has faded to a silvery color, I believe gun was made in 1897. $5750
