Winchester-Lee Model of 1895 Bolt Action Sporting Model Rifle in .236 U.S.N. (6MM). SN #12307. Mfg. 1895-1902. LOP 14". 24" Tapered Barrel with an EXCELLENT Bore that shows little use. The Blued Metal and smooth Walnut Pistol Grip Stock and Forend with Schnabel have been FULLY  RESTORED by SHOOTER'S EXCHANGE.   Unique Straight Pull Cam Action. Steel Buttplate.  Designed by James Paris Lee to replace his earlier Model 1885 Lee Navy produced by Remington. Only 1700 Sporting Models were made. Winchester got the manufacturing rights to produce for the U.S. Navy 1895-1902. The .236 U.S.N. cartridge had twice the velocity of the Model 1873 Trapdoor .45-70. Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz.
