Description:
This  is a beautiful original non-dug rectangular CSA  belt plate that came with the pictured leather belt. It came out of a private museum that used to operate in North Georgia that closed a couple of years ago and sold off the displays. I got this from a collector friend that bought this from the museum sale.
The belt is in fair condition for its age.The doube hook end of the belt is dry rotted and towrn away but the catch or keeper hook hole fits this belt plate keeper hookexactly and can be matched to where the double hook holes would have been on the belt.
The plate has a rich natural patins which varies from chocolate brown to shades of green on the back where the bronze contacted the leather belt over the years of use and display. An original, period Civil War item. This is a thin sand cast plate.

This listing DOES NOT include the tongue in wreath CS plate, that is offered in another listing. For additional views please contact me. SH and I on this will be $15.00 in the lower 48. Thank you, Mark.
