Description:
Pair of Andrews flintlock “boarding” pistols. .64 caliber, smooth bore 7” barrels, London marked. Both guns are excellent mechanically and both pistols have a minor cosmetic issue. There is a fine crack in the stock just forward of the lock that runs to the barrel just above the rear barrel lug on one pistol. The other has a fine crack from behind the ebony forend to the front barrel lug on the right side and a small chip in the wood just in front of the lock. In addition there is an assortment of handling marks on both pistols.
Regardless this is an outstanding pair of late 1700’s/early 1800’s original flintlock pistols with fine checkering on the grips and elegant engraving on the locks and trigger guards. Both bores are excellent.
