Description:
Beautiful and useful Dangerous Game rifle made in .375 H&H Magnum. This fine O/U rifle made in 1987 on a Blitz action made with 25-5/8" demi-bloc barrels that are fitted with a full length matted rib. Rib with 1" claw mounts which are currently installed on the gun. Bottom of barrel with caliber and Ferlach proofs. Action is coin finished with scalloped back and has long Holland and Holland style reinforced top strap which extends to the comb. Made with auto ejectors, non-auto safety, double gold plated triggers. Blued trigger guard with gold inlaid initials "EB" on bow. The action is full coverage engraved in large thistle leaves and blossoms with shaded backgrounds. Game scenes include a cape buffalo on left, walking elephant on right, and a large standing lion on the bottom. The gun is mounted with lightly figured and nicely marbled Eurpean Walnut stocks which terminate with a Silver's type pad. Stocks are beautifully checkered with cheekpiece on left side of stock and checkering has beautiful beaded borders.
Overall the gun remains in exceptionally fine "test fired" only condition with virtually all of the original finish to both wood and metal surfaces with the exception of a few very minor handling marks. Bores are bright and shiny, rifling is crisp. Gun is tight and sound.
