Description:
Very scarce transition era .220 Swift Super Grade. SN 68*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1947. 98% Blue, 98% Varnish. 26" stainless steel barrel. Excellent mirror bore and throat. Mechanics are excellent. Transition era guns are typically those made between 1946 and 1948 and have a few unique features such as the pre war style clover leaf tang and "clam shell" or "rabbit's foot" safety lever. All correct SG components are present including deluxe stock, properly stamped floor plate, robust detachable swivels, a 255 height Redfield gold bead front sight, etc. This is a beautiful rifle in a very difficult to find caliber/configuration.
