This is a Colt Magnum Carry 1st Edition .357 Magnum snub nose revolver serial number SY0410 in new condition. In 1999, Colt introduced their last double action revolver model (prior to recent re-introduction). This was a version of the SF-VI/DS-II series revolvers built on the "SF-VI" frame. This is a stainless-steel revolver using the same transfer bar safety-ignition system as all Colts made after 1969. Colt built a small number, about 300, that were labeled as 1st Editions and this gun is one of those. This new model was chambered for the .357 Magnum cartridge, the first small frame Colt ever to use the Magnum round. The barrels were 2 inches in length, finish was satin stainless and a few bright polish models. The grips are Hogue. The Magnum Carry was manufactured in 1999 only. This is a stunning rare handgun that will only appreciate with time.
