An unbelievably fine example of a pre WWI Colt 1911. Issued in the second year of the US contract with a great low serial number. Also notice the patent date which ends in 1911 on the slide which changed to 1913 over the next few years.
We find this gun to be in excellent/mint condition considering its 107 years of age and Army issue. The only knock against it is the incorrect mag which can be easily replaced. Sourced from the collection of a well known local historian and collector, this weapon has been well maintained and care for.
