Description:
A hollow body brant decoy in the swimming position stamped WCR. There is an old piece of tape on the bottom that reads "Richard Wilbur Isl Hgts, NJ 1950".Also a sticker from Schiffer Antiques Easton,Pa. The decoy retains its original paint and shows some use. The paint is chipped in a few places but is still vivid and well done. There is some of the neck filler missing on the right side of where the neck meets the body but the head is on tight. Ther is an age crack on the back of the neck that is stable.This is obviously a working bird,but very hard to find in any decent condition. A nice addition to any collection and a fine bird for the mantle in your gun room or duck club.
