Description:
Most are unaware of the DL model (we have had only a few of these over many years). It was not introduced intil 1960 with handsome Monte Carlo Factory Hand Checkered Stocks, then changed to press checered versions until discontinured in 1973. Most were equipped with 24" barrels except in the year this one was made 1963 when it was made in 22" barrel.
This gun has been well used with some finish loss on metal and stocks and light scratches. It does NOT have the often encounterd split behind upper tang. These were distinguished by the Monte Carlo Comb giving it at the time a modern look, pistol grip cap, gold trigger, case colored lever and much more user friendly upper tang safety while retaining the desirable "old features" cocking indicator, cartridge counter, rotary mag and engine turned bolt.
We are calling the cond 70% but you will have to judge so as such it is not in collector conditon and should be considered a hunting gun only. It may not be returend based on its cosmetic conditon disclosed here.
Receiver ring is marked 99 M (which is how 99 DL's are marked)
The bore is genneraly very good with a little crud at the muzzle. A pad has been added but it does not appear to have been shortened at all.
