Description:
Here is an early production Weatherby Mark XXII manufactured in Italy. Beretta manufactured the Mark XXII for Weatherby from 1964-1971 and these rifles are considered to be exceptionally accurate. The Beretta manufactured Mark XXII was also the only variant to feature a trigger-pull adjustment screw. This particular rifle features a 24" barrel, skip-line checkered walnut stock, 5-shot detachable magazine, 2-leaf express style rear sight, grooved alloy receiver, and adjustable trigger. The rifle retains much of its original blue finish except for various scattered handling marks along the barrel and high-edge wear on the trigger guard and magazine. The grooved alloy receiver is in great condition with very light signs of handling, and light wear on the inside of the grooves from scope rings. The skip-line checkered stock is also in great condition, showing no signs of chips or cracks, just various handling marks, and very light pressure dents. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and shows no signs of imperfections or pitting. All of the factory markings are crisp and legible, and the action functions flawlessly. This rifle would make an excellent shooter or a fantastic addition to any collection!
