8mm Mauser. I know very little, if anything, about these or any German military rifle other than it is a bring-back rifle. I believe it was manufactured by Walther according to the proof marks. I haven't taken the weapon apart however all of the serial numbers I can see, match. I can't find any rust on it anywhere. Still has a lot of blue and old phosphate finish on the exposed parts. The bore has very pronounced rifling and is bright. The wood stock is original and has no cracks or damage. I have the original leather sling and the original pull through cleaning rope is still in the buttstock. Rifle comes with only one clip. The rifle was handed down to me by a relative and has spent the last 60 years in a gun safe. I have never fired it. SOLD, PENDING FUNDS
