We offer you a “GORGEOUS” Custom Left Hand Remington Model 700 BDL 30-06 Bill Mains Engraved in Richards Wildcat Thumbhole AAA Stock.
This Remington left hand model 700 30-06 was customized several years ago and has been sitting is a gun safe until now. It is in excellent condition and shows only a few very minor marks in the wood. The engraving was done at the accomplished hand of master engraver “Bill Mains” and is signed as shown. The model 700 action wears a 22 inch barrel chambered in the versatile 30-06 caliber with an excellent bore with no issues. The barreled action was reblued with a high gloss finish after the engraving was completed. It was then fitted into Richards Microfit Wildcat high grade walnut stock. This company has been around since 1948 and continues to make stock blanks. As you can see the stock design is quite a departure from the normal stocks you see. The receiver, barrel, floor plate and bases and rings are engraved as shown. The floor plate shows a very detailed Gold inlayed “Standing Bear”. At the bottom you can see his signature as shown “MAINS”. A Gold fill was used on the engraving as you can see. All of the engraving is in excellent condition as you can see. The bluing on the metal is in excellent condition too. This gun was completed as a show piece for “G.C.A.” whose initials are on the trigger guard set in Gold as shown. On top are Conetrol scope bases and rings with a Leupold VARI-X IIc 3-9x40 scope that is also in excellent condition. It appears not to have ever been taken into the field by the condition.
