Domascened Automatica Espanola, Bufalo Model, 6.35mm (.25 auto), s/n 27650, pistol, brl length 2", very good condition, semi auto, This gold embellished pistol is fitted with real Mother of Pearl grip panels and each panel is inletted with a California gold style fractional token, they are both Indian head and round with the left being dated 1853 and the right being dated 1855, each measuring approximately 0.391" across. The right panel shows almost no visible wear with the left showing a few hairline cracks and a very small loss to the front edge near the base. The blued metal finish shows gold Domascened embellishments to both sides of the slide and frame, both sides of the slide on the shoulders on the rear of the slide and frame as well as on the back of the grip safety with each gold Damascened area showing pin punch engraving. The slide is serrated with fixed sights and the heel mounted magazine release is serrated as well. The blued finish shows only minor thinning on a few edges with the gold Domasceneing retaining almost all of its original finish. One magazine. A rare chance to own a labor intensive form of gun decoration mostly practiced in Spain.
