We offer you a “West German” Weatherby MARK V “JPS” manufactured Bolt Action in .300 Ultra Mag with a Canjar Trigger.
This Weatherby Mark V has a serial number of P42825 which is marked on the receiver and the bolt. J.P. Sauer (West Germany) manufactured Weatherby guns from 1964 to 1973. The serial number dates this one being manufactured in 1970. The original owner had a local Gunsmith change the barrel which is now 25 ½ inches long and chambered in the .300 Remington Ultra Magnum caliber. The bore on the rifle is excellent with no issues. He also has the Gunsmith install a Canjar trigger which is one of the best made. It sits in the factory Weatherby stock which wears the original “WEATHERBY” marked recoil pad that is in very fine and still in flexible condition. There are some small marks and dings from use during the past 51 years. But it is solid with no crack or repairs. The bluing on the barrel and receiver are in very fine condition that show some marks and scratches. On top is a Burris U.S.A. manufactured Fullfield II 3-9x40mm scope. It shows some surface marks in the finish but has excellent optics with no issues. It has the Burris Ballistic Plex Reticle as pictured. The scope is still covered by the Burris Forever Warranty.
