About Us: I am a longtime NRA Life Member. I am also a Charter Member of my gun club (SGC) Scottsdale Gun Club, of Scottsdale, AZ, which does all my firearm transfers and shipping. I am over 70 and am selling my lifetime collection of firearms. COMPLETED SALE (FINAL). $995.00 or best offer. This is a listing for a pre owned MARLIN GOLDEN MODEL 39A MOUNTIE, lever action .22 S,L,LR rifle in excellent overall condition. The rifle has both the open, front and rear sights and a very nice 4X28 compact scope with clear optics and 1/2" click adjustments, plus see through scope lens covers (not in photos). The serial number is: 68104177, which indicates the rifle was made in 1968, per the internet info. The overall condition is excellent for the rifle's age. The barrel has the Marlin Micro groove rifling and has an excellent, bright bore. The action is very smooth and tight. This rifle does show some wear to blue finish and the stock finish, but shows it was always well cared for. The rifle's walnut wood stocks have much better grain and appearance than most 39A rifles that I have seen The front sight hood is a non factory replacement that fits well and looks great. The rifle blue finish looks original to me, but since I am not a gunsmith, I cannot guarantee it. I have shot this rifle on numberous occassions and it is extremely accurate with CCI Std. Vel. ammo. and with other ammos. This is a well proven firearm. Why buy a gun from a seller who has never even fired the gun? The 39A Mountie rifles are getting harder to find as Marlin made fewer of them than the full lenght rifle and the earlier rifles, like my rifle are hard to find these days in really nice condition. Please note that it is the buyer's responsibility to know if they are legally allowed to buy and own this rifle in their City, local and State. All sales and all shipping to the lower 47 States only (no sales to Calif.). Please note that the 3 day inspection and return is not for any disassembly or firing of the rifle. If the FFL transfer is not completed or if buyer returns the gun, the buyer's refund will be reduced by all seller's expenses and the buyer will lose their original shipping cost as well. Also note that if buyer returns the gun to the seller, the gun must be shipped back to the seller by the same exact shipping service. The buyer must give the seller at least 3 days notice of their intention to return the gun. No C&R. Buyer should email the seller for any questions and for the final details to complete the purchase.
