Description:
This is a pre war model 70, standard grade, manufactured in 1937 which is an early production gun as the 70 was only introduced in September of 1936 and started shipping in January of 1937. It is in pristine condition aside from a small scratch in the stock on the right side near the grip and underneath the comb. The factory checkering is crisp showing no wear. The metal retains 99% of its factory bluing. The barrel is 24” in length and LOP is 13 5/8”. The rear receiver bridge is drilled and tapped for a peep sight and the front receiver bridge is also drilled and tapped but not the rear.
