Description:
Nice, antique Colt single action artillery model revolver .45cal., with 5 1/2" barrel. This revolver is one of the less encountered, Colt refurbished revolvers, as most were refurbished at the Springfield Armory, for the Spanish American and Phillipine wars. It has a D.F.C. marked frame, correct R.A.C. marked barrel and cylinder, extremely early 3 digit, Ainsworth marked trigger guard and back strap, and nice, original RAC inspected grips, that fit perfectly. The mechanics are very good to excellent, the bore is very nice to near excellent, too. All factory and inspectors marks are very good to excellent, as well. (See pics). You can even still see a partial "A" on the back strap flat behind the hammer. Please ask questions if desired. NO FFL required, unless the state you live in requires one for transfer, NY ,NJ, etc... Shipping with insurance included is $45.00 to the lower 48 states. NO sales to CA at this time.
