Description:
Up for sale we have this very cool and collectible antique civil war era revolver. This is a National Arms/Moore's teat-fire .32 pocket revolver. These used a very unique teat-fire cartridge that was designed by Daniel Moore and his partner David Williamson to get around the patent that Smith & Wesson held for centerfire cartridges. These were build from 1864-1870 and they were very popular with civil war soldiers and civilians. This gun is in good antique condition especially considering that it is 150 years old. There are a few nicks in the cylinder. Mechanically this little revolver works good and seems to have all of it's original parts. The brass receiver has some nice hand engraving that appears to be factory. The barrel is 3.25" long. 6-shot capacity cylinder. The condition of the bore is actually very good for it's age. There is some light pitting in the bore but mostly it still has crisp rifling that is still somewhat shiny even after 150 years. The cylinder rotates well and the hammer spring is very strong. The cylinder is stamped "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY 5,1864". Overall this is just a very cool antique collectible that would be a great addition to any collection. Also, because this is an antique, we are able to ship it direct without the need for an FFL as long as you can provide a valid driver's license/ID and a statement that you may legally own firearms.
