Description:
Excellent Pre War 70 in ultra rare 9MM Mauser 9x57 caliber. S/N 24*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1939. 96% original Blue and Varnish showing light wear and a few pressure dents in the wood. Undrilled rear receiver bridge! 24" barrel with excellent shiny bore. Mechanics are smooth, crisp and working properly. There is a factory inletted and installed Lyman 48 WJS receiver sight with the correct Lyman 12S filler plug in barrel dovetail. There has never been a 22g rear sight mounted as evidenced by the lack of an elevator track on top of barrel. All of the component #s match on the receiver sight and it works properly with good clicks. Even fairly advanced Model 70 collectors will seldom see a 9MM in their lifetimes.
