Description:
Scarce Winchester 1885 22 Long R takedown rifle in good condition. The barrel to receiver fit is tight with ample adjustment still available. Metal bluing is still 80%+ with thin spots at the muzzle, scuffing on the left side of the receiver, and some shallow pitting on the left side of the barrel (see pics). The bore is good with sharp rifleing. An unknown manufacturer midrange tang sight is installed. The wood is almost void of dings and scratches with no cracks or chips.Gold bead front sight may be a replacement but the rear barrel sight is original. Action functions as designed. Shipping to your FFL will be by UPS ground, insured and tracked. Ensure your FFL will accept a transfer from a private individual. If a FFL shipper is required add $25 to sale price.
