Payment Types Accepted: PayPal, Certified Funds, USPS Money Order Description: If you look at this 123 year old classic Marlin Model 1894 (Sr # 190371), chambered in .44-40, you can easily see that it has been used, but you can also see that it has been given loving care. There is bluing loss on the barrel, but the metal remains in excellent condition with only minor beginning rust near the barrel opening and below the foresight. The receiver is free of any signs of rust or pitting; the lever is tight with no wobbl;, the trigger is firm; and the action slides easy in its tracks. There is a semi-Buckhorn rear sight and the gun retains its original silver blade front sight. The bore is bright with no signs of pitting, and the rifling is keen. The butt stock retains about 90% of its original finish with visible grain and dark grain(s) that only enhance the appearance, and, despite normal use marks, remains smooth, while the fore stock retains much of its original finish, but shows use. There are no splits, holes, or minor cracks in the wood to detract from the value of the weapon. The butt stock is capped with a crescent shaped metal butt-plate. This gun was manufactured in 1899, and will be shipped insured in a new hardcase. There are no shipping charges, and we accept PayPal, Certified Funds, and/or a USPS Money Order.
