FINE CIVIL WAR ERA COLT MODEL 1851 PERCUSSION .36 CAL. NAVY REVOLVER MANUFACTURED IN 1861. 7 ½” octagon barrel with Col Saml. Colt New York address. All original and in fine with all matching serial numbers (including wedge) in the 102,xxx range. Excellent markings and extra nice “NAVAL ENGAGEMENT” cylinder scene. Much original blue with nice even handling patina on the barrel and cylinder. Frame with greying case hardening. Brass grip straps with some of the original dark tarnished silver finish. Excellent grips with nearly all the finish. Butt strap very lightly of the period engraved “J McC”.Very good bore and in working order with good nipples and all the cylinder safety pins intact. Produced during the first year of the Civil War.
