.........Relisted because of non payment........ I was told that this shotgun was 1 of 2 that were special ordered from Ithaca , back in 1972, for Gunsite Academy. This special order included the factory " ghost sights " . The owner had two of them exactly alike, but would only sell me one of them. He also told me that he had the reciept from Gunsite and would mail me a copy when he could find it.....that never happened...I believed the story because the guns were identical, and only a couple of serial numbers apart. They also did not have a model designation stamped on either of them ( such as DS or POLICE SPECIAL )... They both had a leather shell holder laced to the stock, and identical factory recoil pads ...Very cool ! Anyway , as they say, buy the gun and not the story..... This shotgun is in about 99% condition. Slam Fire capable. A near new example of a 1972 vintage, factory tricked out, riot shotgun.
