Description:
This is a truly spectacular and impressive all-original High STandard Model 107 Military Supermatic Trophy .22LR target pistol complete with it's original box and everything it shipped from the factory with.  This Model 107 Military Supermatic Trophy was built in 1968, the first year this particular model was offered.  These remained in production for 13 years until being discontinued in 1981.  The 107 Supermatic Trophy was one of High Standard's top-of-the-line .22 caliber target pistols, and it quickly proved to be one of the most accurate and well-made .22 target pistols ever made in the United States.  This particular example is exceptional due to it's near perfect condition and it's factory high-polish gloss blue finish, which was only applied to a small portion of the total production.  This High Standard Model 107 Military Supermatic Trophy features this glossy blue factory finish on the major steel parts, gold filled lettering and a gold-finished trigger and safety lever, and a case-colored magazine release.  The push-button quick-release barrel on this pistol is the sought-after 7.25" inch fluted bull barrel drilled and tapped for under-barrel weights and wilh provisions for a removable muzzle brake, the front and rear grip straps are factory textured for better grip, and the target sights consist of an interchangable ramped front sight blade and a windage and elevation adjustable rear sight square-notched blade mounted on a steel "bridge" over the rear of the slide.  This sight design made sure that the sights would be unaffected by the slide recoil and always retain zero.  The factory grips on this High Standard are like-new and in perfect shape.  The checkering is still sharp and clean, and both grip panels are perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the frame with zero play or wiggle in them.  The left and right side grips are a perfect match to each other in every way except for the right-handed thumb shelf on the left grip panel.  The case-colored magazine release at the toe of the butt still shows 99% of the original bright and beautiful colors.  This High Standard comes with two factory 10-round magazines, both of which are in great shape.  One of the magazines is factory numbered to the gun while the extra magazine is not.  This is a rare feature as we do not remember the last time we have seen a High Standard from this period with a factory serial-numbered magazine.   The action on this ,22LR pistol is smooth and slick, and the slide-to-frame fitment is superb with no felt play in it.  It is very obvious that a great deal of time and care was put into the manufacturing of this beauty.  All of te controls on this pistol are in perfect, like-new working order.  Both factory mags that come with this pistol have perfect feed lips, very strong follower springs, and a red plastic toe section stamped with the workds "High Standard witg white letterinon the bottom of the flloorplate.  This indicates that these mags were never left loaded for an extended period of time, in like-new condition, qnd feature the wirds  and shot very, very little.  As mentioned before, this 107 Military Supermatic Trophy comes complete with everything it shipped from the factory with 54 years ago, all of which is in excellent condition like the gun itself.  The only deductions from the box are a few handling/storage marks visible on the exterior.  All of the paperwork, manual, and pamphlets are near-perfect like-new.  If you have been looking for a world-class investment-grade High Standard .22 caliber target pistol for your collection this 1st year production model from 1968 would be an excellent choice.  It would be all but impossible to upgrade from this classy, beautiful and 100% complete high-gloss blue original.  They just don't get any better than this t this age!
