A U.S. Civil War Military Issued 2nd Model Maynard Carbine In Excellent Plus Condition. Serial #25,148, all original and complete. The carbine has excellent metal with excellent edges. The barrel and hammer on the gun both retain all of their original bright factory blue finish on them. The frame, upper and lower tangs retain all of their bright and vivid case colors. The lever has most of its case colors left which are lightly fading in spots. All screws retain their bright blue finish. The semi deluxe wood has a fine burl to it and is excellent plus throughout. There are two very clear U.S. Inspectors cartouches on the backside. The butt plate has nice original colors left which are blending with a natural plum patina. The carbine has a mint and bright bore in it. The action is tight and crisp. This Is A Very High Condition U.S. Civil War Military Issued 2nd Model Maynard Carbine That Would be A Fine Addition To Any Collection!
