Custom Remington Rolling Block rifle chambered in 257 Roberts. 26” unmarked half round, half octagon sporting barrel with a bright, excellent bore. The smooth walnut stocks appear to be newer additions and rate excellent featuring a schnabel tipped forearm and straight grip buttstock with a Niedner style checkered steel buttplate. The mounts hold a vintage Weaver V9-W adjustable objective riflescope that features a “T.V.-view” duplex reticle and has clear optics. The metal surfaces retain about 98-99% of a later applied blue finish that is toning to brown and has some light handling marks throughout and some odd red striations on the sides of the frame. There is also some minor pitting noted along the edges of the lower tang, the upper tang bears the “Remington Arms” address which is soft but still mostly visible. Refer to photos for condition.
