About 180,000 7.92X57mm (8mm Mauser) Persian Model 98/29 Mauser Rifle were manufactured by Brno in Czechslovakia between 1931 and 1938. The 29.1"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The metah has approx. 98% blue. The Persian crest is on the top of the chamber and all markings, with the exception of the translated serial number on the left forward lower receiver, are in Farsi. The stock, with matching serial number, is excellent with a blank disc on the right butt. It is numbered 74 in white paint on the left butt. The cleaning rod, swivels, and stacking swivel are present. The action functins correctly. This is an excellent example of the Model 98/29 Persian Mauser.
