This 7.65X53mm caliber Model 1891 Argeintine Mauser rifle is circa 1895. The 30"" barrel a fine bore with strong rifling that will probably clean better. The gun has approx. 98% blue. The numbers are matching on the bolt, stock, receiver, barrel, and cleaning rod. The nicely figured stock and handguard are excellent with very minor storage dents. The swivels are present. As is the case with virtually all Argentine Model 1891 rifles released from service, the Argentine crest has been removed from the top of the chamber. The left side of the receiver is marked MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891 over MANUFACTURA LOWE BERLIN. There are various inspection and proof marks throughout. The action functions correctly. This is a great example of the Argentine Model 1891.
