Description:
Carbine is fitted with a rare stainless steel barrel with Japanned black finish. 20 inch carbine configuration chambered in 30 WCF caliber with an excellent bright shiny bore. Barrel retains most of the Japanned black finish. Mag tube has most all of the thinning blue. Receiver is a brown/gray patina with traces of blue in the protected areas. Original sights include a Marble 894 blade front and a carbine ladder rear. Walnut stocks are in good condition with a few minor handling mars and a good amount of original varnish remaining. Carbine buttplate. Crisp action. These stainless steel barrels were very short lived and unpopular because the finish tended to wear off very easily. This is a good looking Winchester carbine from 1927. Extremely rare stainless steel barreled Winchester Model 94 Saddle Ring Carbine.
