Up for sale from my Dad's estate is a beautiful Colt New Service in Russian and S&W 44 special. I checked the serial number through Colt and it put the year at 1914. It is in incredable condition for a 100+ year old gun, probably why my dad kept it.
He collected many old Colt's and handguns in general. I have the task of liquidating the estate. If you have been looking for a fine example of one of these, this may be the one . An uneducted guess I would put the finish at 90+% , with a brilliant chromium blue sheen.The are some light blemishes and light wear from use, but is very presentable. Wear on the grip frame as well, see photo Please, I am not a gun guy, and that being said, please ask all the questions you like, or request more photos, I am happy to oblige.
