Here we present an antique Brass Barrel Flintlock Blunderbuss, made circa the early 1800s in Europe. These were short and handy close-range weapons especially favored for use on a seagoing vessel or from the back of a horse.
This blunderbuss does not have any proof or maker markings. It does have a bit of modest engraving on the top of the barrel. This one looks like it has seen some action.
The overall condition is good. Strong action. The bore is in good shape and remains clear. A few cracks can bee found on the left forearm. The stock has been repaired underneath the front of the trigger guard and barrel tang.
