This listing is for one (1) Mid World War II Springfield Armory M1 Garand in 30-06 cal. This rifle was issued by the DCM as one rifle per applicant / per life time. The serial number indicates it being manufactured in early August 1943. The barrel is dated July 43 and looks clean as seen in the pictures. The stock is all matching dark Walnut wood with a “P” stamped on the heal. The bolt, op-rod, trigger housing is all (SA) Springfield armory parts. It has an old-style trigger guard, (WRA) Winchester hammer and safety. The receiver is stamped D 28291 28 with a heat stamp of C45A with large diamond. All parts fit and lock up tight. Also pictured and shipped with the item is the cleaning rods, brushes, oiler and strap. I would put the finish on the rifle at 95% but judge for yourself with the pictures. The only imperfection I see is in Picture # 7 that shows an indent in the wood. It has been stored in a climate-controlled environment. This item will come from a private collection with a copy of driver’s license and Bill of Sale but will require transfer to you through your FFL.
