1st Generation Colt Frontier Six Shootef. 44-40 cal manufactured in 1880.
This a very nice example with a good amount of panel left.
Number all match including the assembly number on the gate and under the frame.
Bore is shiny and the action is outstanding.
all the markings and physical characteristics are correct for this vintage.
Note, this is a No record gun. I tried to get it lettered, but there are no records on file.
