It was the last upgrade to the Charleville Musket. This model added a carved cheek piece in the stock, finger ridges on the trigger guard and a Brass frizzen. It has a 69 Cal. 44 3/4 inch Barrel, with a total length of 60 inches. The Lockplate has the St. Etienne arsenal markings and the appropriate stampings on the breech. It has a casehardened frizzen cover and Hammer and produces great sparks This model was used by French troops when they joined the Revolution on the side of America.
