Payment Types Accepted: money order, certified check Description: Antique Belgium ELG dueling pistol made by Henri Mangeot early to mid 1800s. 10 1/2" barrel Inside diam of bore is .50 inch, silver hardware all around. great patenia, great carved grip with beautiful carved leaf on bottom front end of wood. Only flaw is slight rusting in the leaf around the nipple. Action smooth and strong, good spring, good hard snap.Barrel stamped with number 2 and then H MANGEOT ARQ. DE LA COUR A BRUXELLES. Henri D. Mangeot 1807-1877 was a gunmaker to the court in Brussels and was recorded as a soldier to the court of the king of the Netherlands. In 1840 he was a manufacture of luxery weapons and owner of a shooting range.
