SOLD An unusual , not seen an early soid brass pirate ship's captain belt ;pistol measures about 16" overall, with a figuraly deep engraved barrel of 9 3/4" long and about .62 caliber. The cast brass stock has an eary bannana shaped lock that doesn't work, I can see a leather washer under the hammer to stabilize the hammer, Cocoking it will break free the hammer as the mainspring is spent. Overall a colorful eary flintlock that displays well, and sorry it doesn;t work as these were used for 100 plus years and often rebuilt several times. Back of the trigger guard had been repaired but is very soild . Rare to even see one of these.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
