It is chambered for the 38 S&W cartridge. The factory nickel finish would rate a 90% overall condition. The original factory pearl grips are really stunning. There is no cracks in these grips. The Smith & Wesson logo is in the gold tone finish on these grips. The action is tight and works great. The bore shows black powder use. The lands are still sharp with some light pitting in spots. The cylinder assembly number matches the frame assembly number. The original box is very sturdy. The green tone box has the original liner and spacers intact. It is seldom that you find the original box let alone with the spacers intact! The original pearl grips are really very pretty and are not often found intact on early pistols. This pistol shows honest light use but no abuse. This is a great looking early Smith & Wesson that has weathered the years well and still has the original box to go with it! The Box Of U.M.C.
